Each MemoriesMade earring is hall marked with your chosen precious metal. We currently do not offer engraving on these via our website, but please do send us an email if you would like these to be engraved on the back. 

After placing your order, we’ll send you a free clothing collection kit, which includes simple instructions and a pre-paid returns label to send us the clothing free of charge. Once we receive them, we’ll begin crafting your jewellery with care, and any unused clothing will be respectfully returned with your finished piece.

If you would also like to include ashes and/or hair for your clothing keepsake, we will also provided an ashes/hair kit for you to do so. Any unused ashes and hair will be respectfully returned with your finished piece.

We understand how important your jewellery is, which is why all orders are shipped fully tracked to ensure they are handled safely from start to finish. Your piece will be securely packaged to protect it during transit, giving you peace of mind every step of the way.

Each piece is handmade and unique, so while we match your chosen colour and style, natural variations may occur. The photos shown are all pieces we have made, and we will ensure your jewellery looks as close as possible to them. The way the ashes settle creates a one-of-a-kind pattern, making every piece special.

Our engraving is done using a state-of-the-art diamond tip engraving machine, ensuring a beautiful, shiny finish. You can personalise your jewellery with names, dates, initials, or a short message, depending on the space available. If you’d like to see a draft before engraving, just send us an email or mention it in your order notes at checkout, and we’ll be happy to provide one upon request.

Yes, we ship worldwide! However, for international orders, you are responsible for sending the ashes to us. Once you place your order, please email us at enquiries@memoriesmade.co.uk to request our postal address. We recommend using a tracked service to ensure the ashes arrive safely. Any unused ashes will be returned with your finished jewellery.

To keep your jewellery in the best condition, we provide detailed care instructions with every order. We recommend removing your jewellery before bathing, exercising, or handling cleaning products to minimise wear. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight and UV rays, as well as direct contact with perfumes, lotions, or household chemicals.

All of our sterling silver pieces are plated with rhodium, giving them a brilliant shine similar to white gold while also providing protection against tarnishing and daily exposure. However, we still recommend following these care instructions to ensure your jewellery stays beautiful for years to come. For storage, keep your piece in its original box, separate from other jewellery, in a cool, dry place, and regularly check any clasps or settings to maintain durability.

How Much Fabric Is Needed for Each Piece?

We only require a small piece of fabric to create your jewellery. In the Clothing Keepsake Kit we send, you’ll receive guidance on how much to provide, but generally, a piece around 2cm x 2cm is enough to make multiple items.

What Happens to Any Remaining Fabric?

Any unused fabric will be carefully returned to you along with your finished jewellery.

Will the Fabric look like the original piece I send you?

Yes, we take great pride in our clothing keepsake process. Instead of cutting the fabric into small fragments like other companies, we use a precision laser cutter to create the perfect shape for your jewellery. This allows us to preserve any patterns or details from the original fabric, ensuring your keepsake remains as true to your loved one's clothing as possible.

SUPPLYING THE CLOTHING

Our process is designed to be as simple, safe, and seamless as possible. Once you place your order, we dispatch your clothing collection kit within 24 hours. This kit includes a resealable bag for the fabric, clear instructions, and a prepaid tracked returns label.

Simply cut a piece of clothing you’d like included in the jewellery and place it into the resealable bag provided. You can also send the entire garment, but note the prepaid label is for large letters only (up to 2.5cm thick envelopes). If you’d like multiple pieces of clothing included, place them all in the bag, and we’ll combine them beautifully into your keepsake. If ashes are also desired, an ashes kit will be provided at no extra cost.

When ready, drop the sealed bag into any Royal Mail red post box, and it will arrive with us the next day. For peace of mind, we’ll email you once the clothing and ashes are safely in our care.
